Quick guide: How to add or remove users from a team?
At Cincel, we believe that collaboration is key to your enterprise’s efficiency. Team management allows you to organize your collaborators, assign specific roles, and control access to documents, ensuring an orderly and secure workflow.
This guide will show you how to add or remove users from your teams, an essential function to keep your organizational structure up to date in Cincel.
Step 1: Access your Team Settings
To make any adjustments to your team, you first need to access its administration panel.- In Cincel's left sidebar menu, click on Teams.
- Locate the team you wish to add or remove users from. To the right of the team name, click on the vertical three-dots button (⋮) and then select the Edit option.
Step 2: Add new Users to your Team
Expand your team by inviting new members to collaborate on document management.
- Within the team editing panel, look for and click on the –New user– button.
- A pop-up window will appear. Here, you must enter the email address of the user you wish to invite.
- Select the Role you wish to assign to the new user (Administrator, Editor, or Reader).
- Click on Continue.
- Done! The user will receive an email invitation to join your team.
💡 Cincel Tip: User roles define permissions within a team. An Administrator has full control, an Editor can create and send documents, and a Reader can only view them. To learn more about each role in detail, see our article [User Roles in Cincel: Administrator, Editor, and Reader].
Step 3: Remove Users from your Team
Keep your team updated and ensure proper access to documents by removing users who should no longer be part of it.
- Within your team's editing panel (which you accessed in Step 1), scroll down to the section where Team Members are listed.
- Look for the user you wish to remove from your team.
- Next to the user's name, click the Delete button.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
- Done! The user has been removed from your team and will no longer have access to the documents or settings associated with it.
Team Management Complete!
With these steps, you can keep your teams organized and ensure that only authorized people have access to relevant information and documents. Efficient user management is fundamental for security and productivity in Cincel.
